What is a Boho Styled Wedding? When you think about the word boho a hundred different ideas probably come to your mind like rustic, vintage, laid back, natural, desert chic, whimsical the list goes on, but the great thing about boho weddings is that no two are alike. Here are some essential elements we think will really bring in that boho style for your big day!
When you see boho weddings you will see a lot of rounded elements with bold and artsy typography. You can see this in the stationery along with a lot of the details. Like a turquoise statement piece of jewelry or even boho chic footwear.
What items can you put on your altar to make this a boho themed wedding? Adding touches of pampas grass, toffee colored roses, & a hanging macrame are great ways to bring in those geometric shapes. Another idea we love are bohemian style rugs. These could be used under your arch or even layered down the aisle.
Florals are a fundamental role when bringing in that boho style. Think toffee roses, bunny tail grass, rust phalaris, palm leaves, cactuses, succulents and lets not forget pampas! This type of style is more relaxed and less structured but a little rough on the edges. It’s all about blending with your natural surroundings to really get that boho feel.
Your color scheme is a HUGE part of what makes this a boho styled wedding! When looking at your overall color palette you want to make sure that you have touches of rust, terra cotta, beige, tan, nudes, mauves, pinks, maroons, & any other desert tones that you love!
When its comes to the dress you want something dramatic of course! Adding on elements like lace sleeves, fringe detailing or a mixture of different lace elements are great for a boho dress.
If you’re looking for something elegant and traditional or something a little more bold and unique here are a few of our favorite places! BHLDN, Lulus, David’s Bridal, Maiden White, Bowties Bridal, Lilian West, and Grace Loves Lace.
Don’t be afraid to think outside the box when it comes to a boho style floral crown, have fun with it. Gold metals, greenery with hints of flowers that go with your color scheme, even a dried arrangement of pampas grass.
If flower crowns aren’t your thing there is always the boho style brim hats. These could be worn with a flower arrangement or just as is, no matter what you choose you can still give off the boho vibe.
To achieve the boho style look its all about the natural look. The softness of the hair and the glistened skin. Its romantic, its layered, it’s a mood. From half up dos and beachy waves to luscious fishtail braids anyone can get this look
Is this your dream style of wedding!? Is this everything you’ve ever wanted!!? Perfect. We are here to make it happen!! We love the boho style & are ready to make a customized version of your day. Let’s do it!
