There’s a hot new color in town! It’s expressive, powerful, rebellious and hybrid, it’s the color of 2023: Viva Magenta! Viva Magenta 18-1750 is a shade rooted in nature descending from the red family.  It is assertive, but not aggressive, a carmine red that does not boldly dominate but instead takes a “fist in a velvet glove” approach.

Now if you read our official list of 2023 wedding trends we forecasted that color was going to be big this year. And, boy oh boy this viva magenta is here to make a statement! If you’re a color lover like me but are a little nervous about adding in bold colors to your palette don’t be! We are here to show you some of our favorite ways on using viva magenta.

Talk about a place setting that wows your guest. This opulent color can elevate any table and pairs well with any color. For a little extra pop of color you can use this color with magenta toned name or menu cards.

Why not start off your wedding with a statement piece! Creating an arch or pillars using this viva magenta color especially outdoors will pop with any natural backdrop. It brings a romantic and vibrant setting to your wedding. Plus this will have your guest scrambling for their phone to get the perfect photo op!

This color of the year is a color that looks good on every skin tone, seriously. You can have your bridal party wear this lavish color or mix and match shades you can even throw in a lighter color to balance it out. The groom and groomsmen can rock this color by wearing magenta ties or bowties. It can also be incorporated into their boutonnieres and to really make a statement go bold with a suit!

My favorite part, florals! This viva magenta color literally looks good on any flower like roses, peonies, mums, tulips, carnations the list goes on. There is so much room to play with when it comes to florals like having a monochromatic bouquet or adding in some depth with multiple shades of viva magenta even adding lush greenery. Lastly the best part is this color photographs BEAUTIFULLY!

The desserts are where this color can really shine! This could be something simple like a white two tier cake topped with magenta flowers or if you like to keep up with trends, vintage inspired cakes are in and we all know those were full of color. And if you want to draw attention you can use a magenta linen on your cake table that will really make your cake POP! If cake isn’t for you then you can have a sweets table filled with your favorite sweet treats with hints of viva magenta.
