Jose and Mariana are both come from very large families so their wedding was filled with lots of love! They also love the hispanic culture that they both come from & wanted to incorporate lots of old school hacienda influences to enhance their event. It was a little hard to find a venue that could fit such a large guest count so the best option was to transform their backyard into a spanish infused celebration. However, the transformation of the space was nothing short of remarkable. Let’s dive into how we turned a simple backyard into a breathtaking hacienda themed wedding.

Blank Canvas to a Vibrant Dream Wedding

Initially, the backyard was nothing but bare dirt, not even having a patch of grass! Our expertise came into play when designing this wedding. With the addition of turf and a dance floor, along with curtains around the perimeter of the backyard, the space underwent a stunning transformation! Both the ceremony and reception took place here, we transitioned the ceremony area into the dance floor afterward. It was truly crazy how different the space looked. This just goes to show how even a blank space in a backyard can be turned into your dream wedding!

Hacienda Themed Wedding: Design and Decor 

The design and decor was heavily inspired by Jose and Mariana’s culture! This wedding can be described as a hacienda themed wedding and can be seen throughout the entire wedding. There were textile elements, such as the seating chart and invitations, throughout the wedding. We also imported plates from Mexico that added an extra layer of authenticity. Additionally, they had a mariachi and a banda at their wedding and it was so lively! For the ceremony, a stunning hanging floral installation with colorful florals served as a focal point. At the reception, to satisfy their sweet tooth, Jose and Mariana chose to have an array of desserts, ensuring there was something to please everyone!
