Lucas and Lillie fell in love with Cactus Joe’s Nursery, so it was a no-brainer that this would be their wedding venue. Since their wedding was in December, this garden was a perfect fit for them and is a perfect example of how gardens can be used in the fall or winter. We used the greenhouse for both the ceremony and reception and it worked out perfectly! Keep scrolling to see more of Lucas and Lillie’s winter wedding at Cactus Joe’s Nursery. 

The Vision and Design

The vision of this wedding was heavily inspired by the month of December. I’d describe this wedding as cozy, dreamy, moody, romantic and definitely holiday inspired. The color palette consisted of hunter green, sage, dark red and burgundy with accents of gold and bronze! Cacti surrounded the greenhouse, playing a major role in the wedding decor and styling. They added chairs and flower arrangements at the end of the aisles, creating a backdrop for the couple during the ceremony. As well, to add to the cozy atmosphere of the wedding, we added blankets to the beginning of the aisle for guests. During the ceremony their pup greeted them at the end of the aisle and it was such a sweet moment! 

After the ceremony, the couple and guests stepped outside for portraits as we transformed the greenhouse at Cactus Joe’s from ceremony to reception. We used cocktail tables of different heights for the reception and scattered them around the greenhouse. They had a pizza food truck and the guests were able to go in and out of the greenhouse to get their dinner! Overall the vibes of this wedding were amazing and we were so happy that we got to make it come to life!
