Lake Las Vegas meets modern boho bride! Okay can we take a moment for M & M, they are like the real life versions of barbie and ken. This beautiful couple have been together for three years. When talking to them about their big day they wanted to make it an experience and feel like we weren’t in Vegas so that we did by going to the Hilton at Lake Las Vegas.
The Lakes in Las Vegas is just a quick trip from the strip and will literally make you feel like you are in a whole different world. From the man made lake, to the beautiful architect of the buildings, and shops to the cobble stone road. It’s one of my favorite little getaways.
M stuck with the boho inspo and had the girls in her wedding party wear mis-match dresses that were the same color. They all spent the morning getting ready drinking champagne, making tiktoks and laughing. When it was time for M to put on her dress we had all the girls and her mother stand outside for the big reveal! Everyone was in tears including me.
Ceremony took place in the chapel that is right on the bridge where you can look out into the lakes. The chapel is such a dream. It’s dark and moody and these modern neutral boho elements complimented it well. To make the chapel modern and boho, M chose a circular arch that was covered in dried florals, palm leaves, and pampas. We even added pieces down the aisle at the ends of the pews.
While the ceremony was going on at the chapel, our amazing team was setting up this modern boho reception. Each person got a personalized travel tag as their name card. I loved this idea especially if you have people traveling for your wedding they can use it on the way home.
Reception took place in the terrace of the Hilton. Under the bistro lights with a plated dinner and a live band the night was magical. Speeches were made by the best man and maid of honor with a lovely thank you speech by M & M.
This first dance was such a special moment for M & M because as it was their first dance as a married couple, one of the groomsmen also sang the song Livin on Love by Alan Jackson with the live band. After the first dance, it was time for cake cutting. If you haven’t tried Freed’s Bakery I highly recommend you do because the cake was to die for. Once the cake was cut it was time to open up the dance floor!
