Joshua trees can live for hundreds of years and are slow-growing, with some specimens taking over a century to reach maturity. Mount Charleston is the highest peak in Clark County, which also makes it significantly cooler and wetter than the surrounding desert! It offers a variety of winter sports activities, including skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing. In addition to skiing, Lee Canyon also has hiking trails and scenic overlooks for visitors to enjoy in the summer months. The mountain range is home to a variety of wildlife, including mountain lions, bighorn sheep, and several species of birds and reptiles.

Mount Charleston and its surrounding wilderness area are protected as part of the Toiyabe National Forest, which covers over 6 million acres in central and eastern Nevada and California! Its natural terrain makes it a naturally beautiful location to get a eloped.
