What we have here is an absolutely breathtaking elopement in Glacier National Park, Montana. Queue “What Dreams Are Made Of” by Lizzie McGuire because that’s exactly what this wedding was: A Dreamy Glacier National Park Elopement!
Glacier National Park is known for its jaw-dropping landscapes, diverse wildlife, and all the outdoor adventures. You could say A & V were the perfect couple to get married here in Glacier National Park. These two are the epitome of adventure elopement couple goals! They first met while hiking in Colorado Springs, Colorado and spent their first date skiing in Breckenridge, Colorado. They’re always down for an adventure and wanted their wedding day to reflect that!
Getting Ready
The best time to get married in a national park is in the morning! Sunrise ceremonies are the best for high crowd locations like Glacier National Park. A & V’s getting ready location was at Under CanvasGlacier which is located outside of the park about two hours away from the ceremony location. Since Glacier National Park is a hot spot for summer weddings and adventures we felt it was best to stay outside of the park for this elopement.
This unique bespoke hotel experience made capturing the getting ready moments so easy!
The First Look
Ceremony
A & V really let nature do it’s thing! They love being immersed together in nature, so it felt right to keep decor minimal and really let this backdrop and the wildflowers do all the work.
Their ceremony took place in one of the approved event locations in Glacier National Park!
Mr & Mrs!
Bridals
Cake Cake Cake!
Due to the ceremony starting so early, obviously we needed to allow for a midday break to recharge and refresh! Following that break came a dress change by the bride, cutting the cake and their first dance as husband and wife.
The First Dance
Sunset Boat Tour
One of our favorite parts of adventure eloping are the excursions we arrange for our couples. The night ended with a gorgeous sunset boat tour on Whitefish Lake. A & V enjoyed a charcuterie board and champagne while reminiscing on the day and what the future holds.
One important tip we have for Glacier National Parkis finding the best airport to fly in and out of. There are six different airport options, ranging from 30 minutes to about 4 hours from the park. Our favorite airport to fly into is the Kalispell otherwise known as the Glacier Park International Airport(FCA)!
When you’re deciding which to pick from you will want to consider the closest park entrance and/or where you’d like your ceremony to take place. Like any event in a national park, there are permit needs, sunrise/sunset limitations, and so much more to consider. If all of this sounds super overwhelming, don’t worry that’s why we are here. We will help you bring your vision to life!
If you’re ready for A Dreamy Glacier National Park Elopement surrounded by majestic mountains, crystal-clear lakes, and a touch of wilderness magic, you’re in for a celebration like no other.
